Once I put a low fence in my lemur exhibit, and they climbed over it a lot and got really happy. Is there anything else like that that will make animals really happy?

Well, rather than having your lemurs escaping all the time, put the lookout post in there and lots of trees. They love those! And, they like the small balls, both with and without rattle.

Koala King,
When you say you put the low fence in the exhibit, do you mean that you just put a segment or 2 inside the exhibit, away from the actual fence, or do you mean the main exhibit fence is low and they escape???  It would be cool if lemurs were happy to play with a little fence inside their enclosure!!  :w00t   Do you always use a certain low fence (ie. jungle, safari, ES, etc.)?

I put a segment or 2 inside the exhibit, (I never allow them to escape!) and they happily climb over it all the time. It doesn't matter what type, just a low fence. :lol  :idea

You know who else likes to escape - red pandas! I'm going to try that with them, too! And CHIMPS! Fences are much cheaper than the research/cost of the monkey bars! :w00t

Glad I could help. First, I found that some animals climbed over low fences. Then I had that idea.

It was cute, but the ad portrayed there wasn't really suitable for the younger viewers - sorry.

I'm sure yall know this, but if you put a durian tree or banana tree in an exhibit, animals will forage and eat the fruits in the tree.

I didn't know that they did that either. Do you know if they like a specific type of fence?

My original question was, does anyone know of anything else like that? Example: Lemurs climb on benches (not true)

I tried it, and they do not like picnic tables. Never knew ungulates used it too! Gorillas even climb over it! One more piece of breaking news:
If you put a high hedge fence in an elephant exhibit, the elephant will plow right through it! I tried it! But you have to replace it a lot.
